Case Study: Z Energy – Culturally Grounded Recognition with Pounamu
One of our recent staff gift projects was delivered in partnership with Z Energy, led by their Kaihautū Māori, Te Rau Winterburn.
Z Energy wanted to acknowledge the Z Energy Heroes in their team with a taonga that would reflect the organisation’s appreciation in a culturally grounded and visually striking way.
The result was a series of pounamu pieces, some framed with rimu and some presented in a woven kete. Each piece of pounamu was carved into a toki, and each was carved from a single pounamu boulder, ensuring a lifelong connection between each of the recipients.
